If You Want More Revenue This Month, Do This
If you want more revenue this month, don’t wait for new leads. Call your existing customers.
Most shops are sitting on a list of people who have already bought from them but haven’t heard from them in months. These are the easiest sales you’ll ever make.
Here’s the simple playbook.
Step 1: Make a call list
Pull a list of customers who:
Haven’t ordered in 6–12 months
Have only ordered once
Only buy one type of product from you
I find these are your best opportunities.
Step 2: Set a simple goal
Maybe it’s 25 calls per week. That’s five calls a day. And yes calls. Not emails. Pick up the F’n phone.
Direct conversations create opportunities much faster than messages sitting in someone’s inbox.
Step 3: Use an easy opener
“I was looking at your file and noticed…
it’s been about 11 months since your last order, so I figured I’d reach out.”
you’ve ordered shirts from us before, but we haven’t worked together in a while. Wanted to see what you’ve got coming up.
you’ve only ordered workwear from us, most of our construction clients are ordering safety gear like logo’d vests, can I send you a sample?
Step 4: Ask better questions
Most shops never ask what else their customers buy. Ask things like:
What other printing services do you utilize today outside of the work that we do for you?
What is your logo on today that we don’t produce for you?
Who handles your hats, polos, or promo items?
You’ll be surprised how much business is hiding in those answers.
Step 5: Bring an offer
Don’t just “check in.” Bring value.
Examples:
We’re running a bundle right now for 50 embroidered polos and 50 hats.
A lot of our customers are gearing up for event season and doing small merch packages.
We’re helping companies put together onboarding kits for new employees.
Give them an idea they can act on.
Step 6: Do the work
Sales is activity driven. The more conversations you start, the more opportunities you create.
Five calls a day. 25 calls a week.
